Merry Christmas 2008!!!

Christmas Eve was spent at mom's like usual and we all got together for dinner. We played Bingo and did a gift exchange.
Sarah is really into giving hugs
and could not stop hugging hernew cousin Brecken, over and over, and over. He was really patient and didn't really know what to do because if she really likes you she hits after she hugs. It's great.Mom and Dad gave Sarah a rocking
chair that I got when I was 3 years old from my Grandma and Grandpa Blair. It was so cool to have this
for my daughter and I'm really glad that they decided to give it to my
daughter.
It was a really low key and nice evening.
I love my parents and appreciate everything they do for us.
It is nice to have all my sisters around also. We just need my brother and his family, but maybe next year.

Christmas morning was nice also.
Sarah still was loving her rocking
chair. She doesn't really get the
whole holiday yet. Maybe next year. All she know is baby and stuff.
I think next year will be fun.
We will have Andrew for Xmas
morning and she will be a little bit
older and understand Santa and presents a little more.

We went to Nana's and Bapo's on Xmas afternoon and that was nice so. It's always nice to get everyone together and spend time together. Sarah got a tutu and leotard from Jake, really Christina, that is so cute. She would wear it then get tired of it but she had a lot of fun. Bapo even picked out an outfit all by himself for her that is so cute. Way to go Bapo... She loves the talking dog also. She loves everything that makes noise or sings songs. Christmas was great... We love our family....

Sarah's party

Sarah's first birthday was a fun party. She was a little overwhelmed at first with all the people that came, but she warmed up after a little bit. She was so excited for and happy and had fun with her cousins.

She got lots of toys and clothes for her birthday and tried to put all of
them on, and play with her toys when she opened them.

Andrea made her the cutest birthday cake and a special cake just
for her that was so cute. I love the cute pink with pokka dots and
the ribbon. It was so cute I loved it.
She even made a special cake just for Sarah, and she got to eat it
all by herself, but she was unsure what to do at first, but everyone
told her what to do had she was a mess in no time. The party was
a lot of fun and I think everyone had fun. Thanks to everyone for
coming and sharing this special day with us. We love you....

Sarah turns 1 today

Today is Sarah's first birthday and we are having all the aunts and uncles and cousins over today for her birthday party. She is getting so big and walking all around. She says "baby" all day long. I can't believe it was a year ago today that she was born. Time flys by...

Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving this year was at my moms. All my sisters and their families came so it was fun having all the cousins around. My brother was supposed to come from Arizona with his wife and 3 boys but at the last minute something from work came up and he was unable to come. We missed him but we had fun anyway. Mandy and Matt brought Guitar Hero and Rock Band so we ended up staying late playing with everyone, while the little kids played in the playroom and played Wii.

Baby Brecken is growing so big and changing everytime I see him. He has the cutest smile and already has a little personality that is starting to shine through. He is such a happy baby. I think I have only heard him cry once or twice. We love him....

Sarah started walking this weekend, just a couple of steps but each day she gets a little more daring. I just know that by the time it's her birthday next weekend, she will be walking all over the place. You can already tell she gets a few more steps every day.

Sarah has taken to getting desert from her dad. Even if it's just a popcicle. She can totally tell when he is trying to hide some kind of treat from him and he always shares with her.
It's her favorite time at night, to share deseret with dad. That's where she gets her full figure from. She is so much fun to have around. I can't remember what it was like without her. We all love her so much....

Last weekend

I'm always a little slow to post things but I'm trying to be better at it. Last weekend my sister Trish gave Sarah the cutest hat that she made for her. She is so creative. It makes me feel like the creative family traits definitely skipped me. She made this hat, of course in one day and Sarah looks so cute in it. I love it.

Of course I had to intice Sarah with candy in order to get her to hold still for a picture. She is all over the place lately and never sits still. The older she gets the harder it is to get her to hold still for pictures...
Andrew and Sarah are so cute together. He is facinating to her still and the older she gets the more she wants his attention. She loves riding in the car with him because then she has someone to play with instead of being stuck in the backseat all by herself. Andrew is good with entertaining her also.
We got together for mom's birthday and got a picture with all the girls, I didn't get one with Brecken and Nick and Andrew but they were there. I think mom had fun with us just hanging out with her for her birthday. It's nice to get together and just talk. It seems like we haven't done that in a while, but with the holiday's coming I'm sure there will be lots more family time coming.....

Sarah is 11 months old

Sarah is officially 11 months old and getting bigger every day. I can't believe how much she changes. She is crawling around like crazy and can really book it when she wants to. Gone is the military crawl. She has it all figured out and is now into everything.
We bought her a new toy because she loved the one at the babysitter. It lets her ride or she can push it and walk behind it. She loves it. She does get a little crazy because she will insist on being pushed around on it for ever so I have to solicit daddy and Andrew to help because it becomes hard. She never wants to quit.
She has 4 teeth now. Two on the top and two on the bottom and she chews everything. I was cooking and gave her a green onion and she actually started to chew on it like she liked it. Just like her daddy. Already loves onions and spicy foods....

Halloween 2008

Sarah's first halloween and she dressed up as a butterfly. She was so cute. Her cousin Stella was a Lady bug and came to my work Halloween party. Aunt Mandy picked Sarah up from the babysitter so she could be there. She didn't mind the hat as long as you showed her in the mirror how cute she looked. She was a real tropper with mom making her dress up and all.

Thanks to Aunt Mandy for picking up Sarah and bringing her to the party, and for dressing up with Stella for Halloween. It was fun.

The family at my work Halloween party. You can kind of pick out Brecken's car seat in the background. He slept through the whole party...

Mom looks so cute with the little babies for Halloween.

Little Baby Brecken on his 1st Halloween as Piglet. What a cutie!

Growing so fast.....

Sarah is growing so fast. She is turning into a little toddler right before our eyes. We can't believe it. Yesterday I lifted her out of the bath tub and tweeked my back... Yeah that felt great. I guess that means I'm officially old. Either that or she is really heavy, which she really isn't that heavy, only 20 lbs or so. I went to the doctor and they told me no heavy lifting for a week or so. Like that can happen. How do you not lift your 10 month old daugther who doesn't walk on her own yet? How do I even get her to daycare without lifting her in and out of the carseat? I guess my husband is just going to have to help a little more than usual. Ha Ha, like that will happen, but we'll see how it goes. He did help today so it's possible that he may help me. We'll just have to see....

Sarah is all over the place now. We put the gate over the stairs up at just the right time. Now she scoots to the gate, stands up and shakes the gate back and forth. Good thing daddy mounted that to the wall. Now if we can just get the boys to make sure they always close the gate behind them we will be all set. She still hasn't crawled on her hands and knees yet but she does the military crawl pretty fast. Once second she is in the bedroom, the next clear down the hall and into the family room. Little speed demon. She has 3 teeth that she pretty much got all at once and turned into a toddler overnight. She could slow down just a little, I won't mind in the least bit.

All the kids!!!

Last weekend, Nick came and stayed with us for the whole weekend, from Friday to Monday. It was so nice having him around again. We really had fun just being together again. I think he is really surprised at how much Sarah has grown. She gets bigger everyday and he still remembers her as an infant. She of course loves him to death because he pays so much attention to her and plays with her all the time. It's like having a new playmate.

I finally got a picture with all the men in my life. They look so good with their hair short, and by that I mean the boys. I love the short hair. They look a lot like their dad, who of course is handsome. He is a good dad and the boys love him so much.

Sarah is growing so much. She went from rolling all over the place to scooching ? everywhere. It's like a military crawl and she moves pretty fast. She can get anywhere she needs to and is starting to get into everything all the time. We finally put up the gate over the stairway because that is always the direction she wants to go in. Crazy... She had 2 teeth now and thinks she can eat everything we eat. Of course she is still putting everything in her mouth still. She is getting so big so fast. I try not to miss anything but it's hard when you have to work. Of course she is the bully at the babysitters, always picking on the littler kids...

She is just so cute I can't stand it. She talks all day long, mainly
"daddy" of course. She loves to dance to music and whenever she hears it she starts to move, baby dancing, but it's so cute. She is a happy baby and we are lucky to have her. Good thing she is as cute as she is, because that's all we are having. We get to spoil her all we can....

Swiss Days

OK so it's been a while since I posted anything but we all went to swiss days for Labor Day weekend and hung out with the family and had a blast. The best parts of course were shopping on Friday and hanging out with the family in the cabin while it rained on Sunday and Monday. We never play games like that anymore and it was so much fun. Even though Andrew trys to cheat, but you know my motto, If your not cheating your not trying! Just kidding. It was fun and we should do it again....

Andrew started football and his 1st game was the Saturday of Swiss Days so Sarah and I came home to see him play. He is an awesome player and the team won...

Jerald and Sarah have watched him practice a few times....Way to go Copper Hills....It looks like football season has begun for us, which basically means we are busy every Saturday for the next 3 months. If Andrew wasn't such a great player it would make it hard, but he rocks.......

Camping at Washington Lake

We went camping at Washington Lake last weekend and we invited Mandy and Matt, and Trish and Tyler and their girls to come with us. It was so fun having everyone come with us. The guys were able to go 4-wheeling on Saturday while the girls just kind on hung out and listened to music, High School Musical soundtracks while the girls danced and played.

Mom and Dad came up for dinner on Saturday night which was fun. I'm glad they made it. They were going to camp with us but mom broke her leg 2 weeks before and just wasn't up to it on crutches. I don't blame her. Camping is hard work, let alone on crutches.
Thanks to Trish and Tyler for the great dinner on Saturday. It's just like being at home with steak and corn on the cob and Trish's cobler. It was delicious. Your always invited...

Sarah was a trooper and did just great on her 1st camping trip. Of course we have the luxury of the trailer so it's just like being at home....

Sarah's 1st airplane ride

On July 11th Sarah and I flew to Phoenix with Mom and Dad to see Blair's twins get baptized. It was quite an adventure. Mom has a broken leg and was in a wheel chair at the airport and Sarah was in the stroller on her 1st airplane ride.

She did great on the plane ride. We of course had to do it twice because of some fuel problem so we were about 3 hours late leaving Salt Lake. We were tired before we ever got off the ground. We finally arrived in Phoenix and it was hot.

The kids baptism was great. They have grown up so much. I can't believe they are eight years old. It was really nice to see Blair and Heidi and their family. It seems like we haven't seen them forever.
They were so cute and it was fun seeing them. We love you thanks for inviting us.
Of course the ride home was just as eventful, we had a big rain storm and the airport shut down so we took off about 3 hours late on Sunday night, but it's all good. We had fun and that's what counts. Thanks mom and dad for a fun trip. Sarah and I had a great time...

4th of July Breakfast

We drove out to Hanna and had breakfast. Jerald and his brother are camping out there next weekend and Jerald wanted to check the place out. We stopped at a cafe and Sarah had breakfast with us. She loves pancakes.
So this week was exciting for us. Sarah rolled off the bed for the first time on Monday. She was all propped up in the middle of my bed watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I was getting ready for work and I walked out of the room and next thing I know I hear a thud and a delayed scream. Sarah had been reaching for her toy and the toy slipped off the side of the bed and she followed. She screamed bloody murder but eventually calmed down and seemed ok. After I started telling other people I realized my child falling was pretty typical because others have real horror stories, like hospital visits and blood, so I consider myself lucky. Needless to say she cannot be left alone. I guess she can't roll off the floor!

Swinging Sarah

Sarah's new thing is swings. She absolutely loves them. She laughs and smiles the whole time.
